13 Night / 14 Day Adventure (Camping & Lodge)
This Self Drive Safari is covering the unique Northern part of Namibia, with its wide open spaces, wild live and rocky landscapes that changes every moment.
This impression, however, is very deceiving, as the Northern part of Namibia is full of surprises, with a rich treasure of discovery for those fascinated by its unique beauty, cultural and wild life.
With the Unbounded Namibia Safari Team, you will experience the North of Namibia and its Beauty like never before, conducted in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner.

On this specific tour:
- You will need a four-wheel drive vehicle with good ground clearance and low range.
- The tyres on your vehicle cannot be low profile road tyres but must be high profile floating tyres with off road capabilities.
- You do not need any previous sand and rock driving experience.
- You will need a vehicle with a roof top tent, fridge and chairs. (fully equipped 4x4 Vehicle)
- You will need your own sleeping bag and pillows
Your tour leader is an experienced nature conservationist and adventure guide. He will be in radio contact with you at all times and impart a wealth of biological, cultural, historic and four-wheel drive knowledge.
Three meals a day will be prepared by our experienced bush chef in his mobile kitchen, with fresh salads, potjiekos, braais and many other surprises appearing on the menu. The good old “koffie pot” will be on the fire from six till late.
Though this self-drive adventure can get “exciting” and is sometimes not a “walk in the park”, we will at all times practice safe off-road driving techniques and should you experience any difficulty, the Unbounded crew have the “know how” and recovery equipment to assist with off-road problems.
Some of our overnight stops will be rustic and unusual, but you will never the less at all times be safe, the crew will spare no effort to make you comfortable, provide you with good wholesome food and, most importantly, see that you have a good time.
Day 1: Windhoek
You will meet your crew at the airport. After you have met the Unbounded team you will collect your vehicle, and make your way to your Accommodation in Windhoek. We will go to the famous Joes Beer House/Garden for dinner, whilst being treated to a good meal; your tour guide will elaborate on what lies ahead over the next few days. (***)
Day 2: Brandberg
An essential safety briefing follows an early breakfast. This is not intended to intimidate you, but rather to ensure that everyone is comfortable with the challenges that lie ahead. Then it’s time to begin our incredible journey and driving towards the Spitzkoppe where we will have lunch. We will also exploring and visiting some of the Bushman paints in the area. After Lunch we will make our way to our overnight place, The Brandberg Mountain. The camp site for tonight will have toilets and shower facilities and the Unbounded team we will ensure that your comfort and needs are met. (B.L.D)
Day 3, 4: Palmwag
After breakfast we will drive north and visit the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein We will explore more of Damaraland and trek to possibly see desert lions, rhinos and elephants. The camp site for tonight will all have toilets and shower facilities and the Unbounded team we will ensure that your comfort and needs are met. (B.L.D)

Day 5, 6: Epupa Falls
We will drive further north to the Kunene River which forms the border between Namibia and Angola. We camp next to the river at the falls, where we will view the falls and be able to visit a Himba village. Learn about the culture and way of life of this tribe, one of the last in Africa to live as they did hundreds of years ago. The camp sites for the next 2 nights will have toilets and shower. (B.L.D)
Day 7: Etosha Olifantsrus Camp
We will Leave Epupa Falls behind and drive down south towards the western Gate of Etosha. We will stay at Olifantsrus for one night from where we will explore more of Etosha and its wild life. The camp site for the next night will have toilets and shower. (B.L.D)
Day 8, 9, 10: Etosha National Park
We will leave camp after an early breakfast for our thirst of many game drives. We undertake an early morning and late afternoon game drives through the park as we gaze in awe at the vast expanse of the Etosha Pan, itself shimmering in the midday heat. Ostrich appear like moving black dots as they wander around miles out on the salt pan. The afternoon we have time to relax at the swimming pool or view animals drinking water at the campsite’s waterhole.

Day 11: Bushman Village
Sadly we have to move on and make our way towards Bushman land where we will visit a Bushman village to experience their cultural and way of living in and from nature.
The camp site for tonight will be a wild camp with bucket showers and a long drop toilet. (B.L.D)
Day 12: Cheetah conservation Farm
Sadly we have to say goodbye to the Bushman people and heading back to Windhoek. We will drive to the Cheetah conservation Farm, where we will have time to take part in some of the activities on the farm. Tonight we will have our last dinner around the camp fire where will reflect back on our travels and places that we have visit over the last 10 day.

Day 13: Windhoek
We will leave the Cheetah Conservation Farm and its beauty behind and make our way back to Windhoek where we will have our last dinner together as a group! On our way to Windhoek we will stop at a graft market outside Windhoek where you will have the opportunity to buy your last souvenirs of Namibia. We will stay in Accommodation for the night. (B.L.*)
Day 14: Home
Sadly after breakfast we have to say our goodbyes and make our way back to the airport until a next time!
